IBKR Mobile gives the investor access to several high-powered research tools including the Discover Tool and economic Calanders in the palm of their hand. Several of the research tools are in the “Markets” page which can be accessed by tapping on the icon in the far right of the screen. In this video lesson we will go over the tools available in the IBKR Mobile Markets page
The Market page can be accessed by tapping on the “Markets” icon in the bottom right-hand side of the screen. At the top of the screen the investor can either choose Markets or News. Once accessed the Markets page can be customized by the investor by tapping the three dots in the upper-left hand side of the screen. Once tapped the “Market Actions” po-up screen will appear. The investor can tap on the “Customize Markets” box and choose which tools to add or remove by clicking on the red subtraction icon or blue plus icon next to the tool. The investor can choose from:
- Market Indices
- Events
- Market Trends
- Performance by Sector
- Discover
- Currencies
- Popular Lists
Once added the tool’s location on the Markets screen can be arranged by holding down the three bars to the right of the tool and moving the location. When ready to return to the Markets screen the investor can tap “Done”.
What sections are in the Markets area?
What is the IBKR Market Indices section?
The Market Indices section shows the top Indices from the U.S, Europe, Asia, and FX pairs in a chart for five days, one month, one year, or 2 years. Tap on a specific index or FX pair to see a more detailed chart and other market metrics.
What information is in the Upcoming Events section?
The investor can choose to see upcoming earnings, economic events, dividends, or IPOs in the US, Europe, Asia, or all regions by tapping on the corresponding areas. The investor can scroll through the events shown below. Tapping on the “All Events” will take the investor to an economic calendar where they can adjust the settings by tapping on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner.
What information is displayed in the Market Trend section?
The Market Trend section displays U.S traded stocks with a market capitalization greater than one hundred million dollars by Top Movers, Most Active, and Top Options Volume. Tap on the corresponding header to see the results. If the investor taps on the stock they will be taken to a detailed chart and market metrics and fundamental information.
What information is in the Performance by Sector?
The Performance by Sector area shows a heat map of the daily performance of12 sector ETFs. Tap on a square to go to a detailed chart and market metrics.
What are the Popular Lists in the IBKR Mobile Market page?
The popular lists section provides the investor with a quick list of stocks or ETFs for various themes and regions. The investor can click on the list to see the symbols, once a list is selected, they can add the symbol to a watchlist by tapping on the plus sign on the right-hand side or tap on a symbol to bring up a detailed chart and be able to create an order.
Accessing the Discover Tool in IBKR Mobile
Investors can access the powerful IBKR Discover Tool on their mobile device. In the Discover section investors can tap on any of the following icons: Acuity, Market Structure Edge, Trading Central, illio, or ORATS Backtester to bring up the Discover tool. Once the Discover Tool is accessed the table of contents will allow access to any of the third-party tools. Trade Worldwide news can also be accessed in this area.

What currencies are shown in the Currencies section?
In the Currencies section the investor can view different currency pairs featuring U.S. Dollars, Euros, Pound Sterling, Japanese Yen, Swiss Francs, and Canadian Dollars. Tap on the corresponding currency to see the selection of pairs. Dive deeper into the pair by tapping on the symbol to bring up a detailed chart, market metrics and create an order.
The News Section
Tapping on News at the top of the screen brings up the News section of the Market page. The News sections consist of three areas: Daily Overview, Portfolio News, and Watchlist News. Tap on any section to see more articles than the ones highlighted.
