Discover Tool

Discover ideas and new markets for potential investments using the Discover Tool. The bubble display overcomes the problems of having too much information to process and too much scrolling to contend with. Quickly see what's been happening and which companies are being talked about - the bigger the bubble, the greater the buzz. Discover is available in IBKR Mobile, Client Portal and Trader Workstation (TWS).

The Technical Insight Tab optimizes the investor’s strategies with the perfect combination of actionable analysis, education, and alerts. The Technical Score provides directional information with the outlook (bullish, neutral, bearish) over different timeframes. Additionally, the investor will see a small educational blurb the describes the data.

The technical Views tab in the IBKR Discover tool uses a combination of automated algorithms and expertise from senior analysts, Trading Central's Technical Views monitors the markets for recognizable patterns that could help the investor create a successful trading plan. Technical Views is useful whether the investor is looking for their next trading idea or want a second opinion on an idea the investor wants to implement.

Featured ideas cans the universe of trading ideas and only delivers those that match your style. How does it know? Define your style in Customized Settings (using the gear icon on the top right). Set your filters like exchanges, asset types, bullish or bearish opportunities, timelines and more. See the list of assets gathered in real-time, along with the strategy match and historical return.

The Fundamental Insight tab of the Interactive Brokers Discover Tool allows the investor to search for stocks by country, sector, price performance, and trading volume. Powered by Trading Central it ranks the results by their Quantamental rating.

The IBKR Discover Tools’ Economic Insights tab allows the user to gauge the impact on currencies from economic calendar events. Easily filter events by countries, importance, and event type as well as see the effect on multiple currencies by toggling.

Market Structure EDGE utilizes an analysis of supply and demand and US equity market structure to identify a series of trading ideas each day with defined entry and exit levels intended to increase the probability of making a successful trade.

Investors can use the Interactive Brokers Discover tool to access the Estimize Earnings Edge to help understand whether Wall Street analysts are overly optimistic or tend to understate trends for certain companies. The Estimize research tool provides filters to analyze and compare such data in an effort to gain an edge on professional investors.

The Acuity Research Terminal available on the Interactive Brokers’ Discovery Tool integrates data sets and analysis into a centralized research platform.

Investors can use the Interactive Brokers Discover tool to access the ORATS Backtester to browse and create simulations of option trading styles using historical data. The ORATS Backtester includes more than 180 million back tests for more than 100 symbols.
