Token

Trading Term

A token is a digitally native unit of value issued on a blockchain. It can represent currency, ownership, access rights, governance power, or claims on underlying assets. Unlike traditional securities or fiat instruments, tokens are programmable and settle peer-to-peer without centralized intermediaries. Economically, they function as ledger-based instruments with embedded transfer logic.
