ForecastEx had a busy weekend with trading volumes of 1.55 million and 2.66 million on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Topics such as daily urban temperatures, next month’s Fed rate decision, the price of bitcoin, majority control of the House of Representatives in 2026 and who will win the Democratic nomination for US President in 2028 accounted for an elevated share of activity as folks flocked to the prediction market. The transaction magnitude is emblematic of the broad participation across the 24/7 exchange, as even traditional rest days see high levels of engagement. It also provides evidence that “Yes” and “No” contracts are appealing to different kinds of investors, as they’re enjoyed by Monday-Friday professional traders, participants that prefer weekend action, everyday enthusiasts and beginners that want to act on their free time.

Trade Idea: Gasoline Prices Declined Last Week

Prices from the crude oil and gasoline futures markets signal bearish action in the past seven days that isn’t supportive of an increase in retail costs. Meanwhile, the last 7-day period from the government report came in at $3.062 and the trend in energy futures points to a decline to $3.04. The forecast contracts that appear undervalued against the backdrop for this week’s print are the “Yes” at 2.9% and the “Nos” at 3.1%, 3.2% and 3.3%; they’re all priced at either $0.94 or $0.96.
