Jim Iuorio of JI Financial Strategies breaks down why the Nasdaq-100 broke out to new highs on September 22 despite a wall of headwinds, and whether the rally can hold.
The Fed raised rates on September 16, oil prices stay elevated after the Iranian conflict, and long-term interest rates remain high. On the bullish side, insatiable AI demand has fueled a historic capital expenditure boom that keeps accelerating.
This week is the test: PCE inflation data and Micron earnings arrive Wednesday, followed by labor market data on Friday. Jim walks retail traders through whether the AI spending story can keep outweighing rising rates, expensive oil and a complicated economic backdrop.
