Cash Interest Coverage

Trading Term

Cash interest coverage evaluates a company’s ability to meet interest obligations using cash generated by operations. Unlike traditional interest coverage, it focuses on cash rather than accounting income.

Higher coverage generally indicates greater financial flexibility and a stronger ability to service debt. Low or declining coverage may signal increased refinancing risk or pressure on the company’s liquidity.
