Cash Conversion Ratio

Trading Term

The cash conversion ratio measures how effectively a company converts accounting profit into cash. A common calculation divides operating cash flow by net income for the same reporting period.

A ratio near or above one may suggest that reported earnings are supported by cash generation. A persistently low ratio may reflect rising receivables, working-capital investments, or aggressive revenue recognition.
