Trading through the Advisor Portal

The Account – Portfolios Page located within the Advisor Portal provides a real-time dashboard of client account portfolios broken down by Accounts, Positions Across Accounts, Positions By Account, and Model.

The Allocation Presets and Allocation Groups menus allow the Advisor to create Groups of clients and configure defaults or Presets for trade allocation.

The Trade menu in IBKR’s Advisor Portal allows access for advisors to trade any available products such as stocks, options, futures, crypto, and many more. Advisors can also view orders & trades, exercise options, convert currency, and close positions.

Use the IBKR Advisor Portal to view Option Chains on a selected instrument and quickly create an order, exercise options prior to their expiration date, or view standard strategies based on investor specified parameters.

The Interactive Brokers (IBKR) Recurring Investment feature allows advisors to choose an amount and a frequency to invest in a stock for a client account over a scheduled repeating basis.

The Rebalance Portfolio window allows advisors to set target weights and rebalance the entire portfolio, not just models.

Build and invest in Model Portfolios through the Advisor Portal to streamline the investing process. In this lesson, we will walk through creation of a model, investing into them, rebalancing, and divesting.

IBKR’s Tax Loss Harvest tool helps financial advisors to potentially reduce their clients’ tax liability by easily harvesting losses across multiple assets for multiple clients at the same time.
