This morning a trader closed out 15,000 contracts in the Antero Midstream Corporation (Symbol: AM) March 21 ’25 15 puts and opened up a 12,000-contract position in the AM March 21 ’25 16 puts. Looking at the NBBO at the time and the price of the trade the trader sold the 15 puts and bought the 16 puts. AM is currently trading at $16.08 so the trader may be rolling the puts up, so they have a better chance of expiring in the money. This is a common strategy that allows the trader to recoup some of the loses on the 15 puts and use the premium taking in from the sale to offset some of the cost of the 16 puts.

AM has a 52-week high of $16.86 and a 52-week low of $11.05.
