This morning 2,500 Huntington Bancshares Inc (Symbol: HBAN) June 20 “25 15 puts traded for $0.20 with HBAN stock trading at $16.13. The puts are a 22 delta, so the trade is the equivalent of 55,000 shares of stock. The open interest this morning on the 22 puts was less than 350 contracts so this was an opening trade.

The NBBO at the time of the trade was $0.10 / $0.20 with the investor paying the ask price for the puts. The investor may be either hedging against a long position in HBAN or speculating that stock will fall in price prior to the June 20th expiration and they will be able to close out the position for a profit.

HBAN is currently trading at $16.01. HBAN has a 52-week low of $11.66 and a 52-week high of $18.28.
