This morning 1,800 KinderCare Learning Companies, Inc. (Symbol: KLC) April 17’25 30 calls traded for $0.20. The trader bought the eight delta calls in an opening trade since the open interest was less than 50 contracts this morning.

Currently earnings are projected to be released between April 28th and April 30th so these calls will expire prior to the current projected release date. The trade may be speculating that KLC has a large move prior to expiration, although it would have to be a tremendous move considering that KLC’s high since it went public in October 2024 is $29.89. The trader may believe that the company may release earnings earlier than expected and potentially be trying to take advantage of a volatility pop if the estimated earnings release dates are wrong.

KLC is currently trading at $18.39.

KLC is currently trading at $18.39.

Thanks as always for posting these. I show the next earnings release to be scheduled for february 19th after the bell. It wouldn’t make sense for the next quarterly report to be more than three months away. These call may be far OTM but they are cheap relative to the stock’s HV. It will be fun to follow!
