Bank Instruction

A bank instruction is a saved set of information that contains information about a bank or brokerage account that you wish to use for funding requests. When setting up a fund transfer for your Interactive Brokers account, this is called a saved bank information file. You have the option to create, edit or delete bank instructions when you request the following types of transactions:

  • Wire – deposits and withdrawals
  • ACH initiated by IBKR – deposits and withdrawals
  • Canadian EFT initiated by IBKR deposit
  • Canadian EFT withdrawal
  • SEPA Initiated at IBKR withdrawal
  • All recurring transactions
