Tech Is Handing Off The Baton

Sector rotation is the lifeblood of a bull market.

For a bull market to last, capital has to keep moving, and new sectors have to pick up the baton.

When the same handful of mega-caps carry the whole thing, the advance gets thin, and thin advances end.

So the question worth asking isn’t whether stocks are up. It’s who’s doing the lifting now.

Over the past month, that answer changed.

Here’s how we track it.

This is a Weekly Relative Rotation Graph.

It plots every sector by momentum and relative strength against the S&P 500, then sorts them into four states: leading, improving, weakening, and lagging.

Most people look at a chart like this and ask where each sector sits, but that’s the wrong question.

What matters is where it’s headed. The arrows carry the money, because relative momentum turns well before price makes it obvious, and that gap is the entire opportunity.

By the time a sector looks like a leader to everyone, the easy part is over.

So here’s what the arrows say right now.

Technology has long led, and it’s now rolling over into decline. That doesn’t mean tech is broken, but the thing that’s been carrying this tape is handing off.

Healthcare and Financials are catching it.

Both are rotating out of improving and heading straight toward leading.

Behind them, Industrials, Real Estate and Materials are climbing out of lagging. They aren’t leaders yet, but they’re pointed the right way.

And keep an eye on Energy. It was one of the strongest sectors in the first quarter, and after a long consolidation it’s setting up to rotate back toward improving.

That’s what a healthy bull market looks like from the inside. Money leaves the crowded trade and shows up somewhere new, well before the crowd gets there.

Now here’s the part we’re putting money behind.

Financials.

You cannot have a sustained bull market without them, and after sitting out most of this advance, the sector is finally moving.

It isn’t moving the way you’d expect, either. The mega banks are the headline, but they aren’t the opportunity.

The real move is happening underneath them, in the smaller and faster corners of the sector nobody is talking about yet.

That’s where the size is. Following this approach, the max returns on the way up looked like this:

Coinbase — 430% in 14 days
Riot Platforms — 374% in 66 days
Bitdeer — 272% in 8 days

Fourteen days on Coinbase. Eight on Bitdeer. On financial stocks most people never think to look at.

That’s the part worth sitting with.

Those moves came out of a sector that was still rotating, still early, still invisible to the crowd.

And that’s exactly where Financials sits on the chart above, right now.

A sector rotating from improving toward leading is a sector the crowd hasn’t reached yet. You’re either early or you’re late, and the gap between those two is where returns like that come from.

We think the next 90 days inside financials could be one of the best setups on the board.

This Thursday, Steve Strazza is walking through exactly what he’s doing about it.

It’s a free investor training.

He’ll show you the rotation on the chart, the specific setups he’s tracking inside the financial sector right now, and the process he uses to find them before they’re obvious.

The rotation is already underway, and that’s the whole reason to be early.

See you Thursday.
