Install the TWS API on Windows

  1. Download the TWSAPI for Windows from https://interactivebrokers.github.io/
  2. Review and agree to the TWS API’s Non-Commercial License Agreement.
  3. Once you have clicked “I Agree”, refer to the Windows section on the left to download the TWS API Software.
  4. This will download TWS API folder to your computer
  5. Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder.
  6. Double click the downloaded TWS API Install {Major Version}.{Minor Version}.msi
  7. Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder.
  8. Click through the installation wizard. The TWSAPI must be installed to the C: drive for C# or Excel users.
