I’m Buying Brazil

The opportunity in global equities didn’t end last year — and 2026 is proving that.

After years of underperformance and being largely overlooked, markets outside the U.S. are looking attractive again — even if many investors remain skeptical.

Money has been rotating into Emerging Markets lately — some of the highest-beta regions in the world.

And within that universe, Brazil is starting to stand out, shaping up as a compelling opportunity.

Brazil’s equity market reflects its resource-driven economy, with Materials, Energy, and Financials carrying much of the weight.

But beneath the surface, there’s also a growing group of fintech and speculative growth names starting to gain traction.

It’s a much more diversified opportunity set than many realize.

The MSCI Brazil ETF $EWZ is now breaking out above a 15+ year downtrend line.

That’s a big deal.

And within that market, there’s one stock I want exposure to: XP Inc $XP.

I think of it as the Charles Schwab of Brazil.

It’s the largest independent brokerage in the country and a pure play on Brazil’s expanding middle class and growing retail participation in the stock market.

This $11B company serves more than 3.9 million active users, while attracting nearly twice as many unique monthly visitors across its platforms and services.

Assets under management are up 22% year-over-year, which tells us the business isn’t just adding users — it’s growing wallet share too.

The fundamentals have already turned. And now the chart is starting to confirm it.

This looks like a textbook trend reversal, with price reclaiming the VWAP from its all-time highs.

That matters because it means the average buyer since the peak is back in the green — and bulls may be taking control of the primary trend for the first time in years.

Strong fundamentals. Strong technicals. And a steady improvement in earnings sentiment.

XP checks all the boxes.
