Secondary Authorizer

Trading Term

A designated account user with permission to approve or deny certain Portal functions. A secondary authorizer provides a second level of authorization for those organizations that require more than one level of authorization. The Access Rights Configuration page in Portal shows the number of required and active secondary authorizers for the selected Portal function.

  • The Required Secondary Authorizers number indicates the number of secondary authorizers that are required to approve requests for the specific function, up to a maximum of two.
  • The Active Secondary Authorizers number indicates the number of account users who have been designated as secondary authorizers for the specific function. For example, you could set the number of required secondary authorizers for Position Transfers to 1, and designate three account users as secondary authorizers; any one of those three users could then provide secondary approval of Position Transfer requests.
