Invested Capital Turnover

Invested capital turnover evaluates how efficiently a company uses operating capital to produce sales. It is generally calculated by dividing revenue by average invested capital.

The ratio is an important component of return on invested capital. A company can improve its overall return by increasing margins, using capital more efficiently, or accomplishing both.
