FYIs are custom notifications based on your portfolio and trading activity that help you stay informed of upcoming events that may affect your account. Use the FYI settings in any of our trading platforms to review the complete list of account notifications, easily activate notifications of interest and specify how you would like to receive notifications

Feature Announcements
Announcements for new features appearing in TWS.
871(m) Trades
Notify me when I establish positions subject to US dividend tax 871(m) withholding rules.
Account Activity
Notifications related to account activity such as funding, application, trading and market data permission status
Assignment or Exercise Realizing Long-Term Gains
Notify me if an option assignment or exercise results in the delivery of US stock with long-term gains.
Borrow Availability
Notify me when shares have been located on stocks that had previously been rejected for short sale orders created within the last three trading days.
Borrow Risk from Call Assignment FYI

Automatic Actions
You can also configure FYIs to take automatic action regarding dividends and economic events.
Dividends
Let the system automatically exercise options early if this action is projected to be economically beneficial to your account. Regardless of whether or not you elect this action, the "always on" Dividends notification will let you know in cases where early exercise may be beneficial.
Economic Event Order Suspension
20 seconds before major economic calendar events (GDP, Nonfarm Payroll, PPI, CPI, etc.) the system can suspend your active orders for 40 seconds.
To activate automatic actions, you must log in to Client Portal and use the
User (“Head/Shoulders” icon) > Settings > Account Communication – FYI Notification menu item.
