'Internal Account Transfers'

You may request a transfer of funds between IB accounts through Internal Transfer under Account Management for the account from which you wantto transfer funds. Your email address will be confirmed before a transfer will be initiated. Certain restrictions apply to different account types as follows:

Funds Transfer
Description
Internal IB Funds Transfer You may transfer funds between IB accounts with matching account titles and Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) through a Account Management. For details, click here.
Master-Sub Funds Transfer Transfers between master and sub accounts.

Account Type
Restrictions
Individual
Account Name and Tax Identification Number (TIN) must match. You must have the username and password of the account to which you want to transfer. You may only transfer from an account with fewer account holders to one with more (i.e., individual can transfer to joint, but joint can't transfer to individual).
Advisor Master
You may transfer funds to any of your linked client or proprietary accounts. You may not transfer funds from a client account to the master account.
Advisor Client
Clients with electronic access have the same restrictions as with Independent Traders.
Institutions Master
You may transfer funds to or from your master and any of your linked sub accounts. You may also transfer to another Institutions account with a matching Account Name and Tax Identification Number (TIN).
Institutions Sub
Not available.
Broker Master
You may transfer funds to or from your master and any of your linked client or proprietary accounts. You may not transfer funds from a client account to the master account.
Broker Client
Fully Disclosed clients may transfer funds in the same way as Independent Traders.
