WebTrader Release 5.4 includes the following enhancements:
Beginning with this release, WebTrader supports two additional instrument types:
- Contracts for Difference (CFDs) - A CFD is an agreement to exchange the difference between the opening and closing value of a contract. The "difference" is based on the change in price of the underlying equity or index over the time the CFD remains open. At this time, IB supports Australian CFDs on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) only.
- Structured Products - A Structured Product is a derivative based on an underlying. They are generally issued by banks or investment houses.
You can get market data and place orders for CFDs and Structured Products (provided you have signed up for the appropriate market data subscriptions). To add market data or place orders for Structured Products, you must provide either the ISIN number of a contract or the symbol and exchange in the format symbol#exchange.
