National Stock Exchange of India

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) is a leading stock exchange facilitating trade in equities, debt instruments and derivatives. The Mumbai-based NSE was launched in 1992 and is the largest exchange in India.

The National Exchange for Automated Trading (NEAT) is the NSE's trading system. The fully automated screen-based trading system provides trading, clearing and settlement functionality. Orders in NEAT are executed on a price/time priority basis.

Clearing and settlement of trades executed in the equities and derivatives segments of the NSE is provided by the National Securities Clearing Corporation Ltd. (NSCCL). NSCCL was the first clearing corporation established in India.
