Funding for Dual Accounts

Dual account applicants (IB LLC/IB-India and IB LLC/IB-Japan) no longer have to fund both accounts. Only one funding deposit notification is required for such dual accounts.

IB-CA Financial Advisors Can Now Have Non-Canadian Clients

IB-Canada Financial Advisors can now have non-Canadian clients.

New Account Management Updates
  • New Account Management Release - IB's new Account Management has been released to all new Individual, Joint, Trust and IRA accounts. New IB customers with these types of accounts will now see the new Account Management.
  • Account Management for Paper Trading Accounts - The new Account Management has been enabled for new paper trading accounts. These are the paper trading accounts set up for customers in the new Account Management.
  • Access Rights Pages Moved Up One Menu Level - The Access Rights pages have been moved up one menu level. You can now add users and assign Account Management access rights to them, as well as create user roles, by navigating to Manage Account > Access Rights. Previously, the Access Rights pages were available in the Manage Account > Security menu.
  • Home Page Refresh Button Changes - The Refresh button on the Home page now appears grayed out when unavailable. The Refresh button refreshes the account data on the Home page every 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, the button become available and clickable again.

The New Account Management is currently in limited release.

High Water Mark Configuration Now Included in Client PDF Application

High Water Mark configuration details are now included on Advisor Client PDF account applications.

Updated: Duplicating Advisor and Broker Client Accounts

Financial Advisor and Broker clients with multiple accounts must link those account before their Financial Advisor or Broker can create duplicate client accounts for those clients. These clients with multiple accounts can use the Link Existing Account function, available in the Account Administration menu of Account Management.

New Account Management - Settlement Instruction Page Updated

The Settlement Instruction page in Account Management has been redesigned for ease of use. The New Account Management is currently in limited release.

Advisor Clients Can Link Existing Accounts

Advisor clients who have multiple accounts can now link those accounts together under a single username and password. Once these accounts are linked, you will be able to access Trader Workstation, WebTrader, MobileTrader, iTWS and Account Management for any of the linked accounts using a single username and password. In addition, market data subscriptions are charged once for linked accounts rather than charged separately for each linked account (market data subscriptions are charged per terminal/computer).

You link existing accounts on the Link Existing Accounts page in Account Management.
