# Install the TWS API on Windows

1. Download the TWSAPI for Windows from [https://download2.interactivebrokers.com/installers/tws-api/index.html](https://download2.interactivebrokers.com/installers/tws-api/index.html)
2. Review and agree to the TWS API's **Non-Commercial License Agreement**.
3. Once you have clicked "**I Agree**", refer to the Windows section on the left to download the TWS API Software.
4. This will download **TWS API** folder to your computer
5. Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder.
6. Double click the downloaded `TWS API Install {Major Version}.{Minor Version}.msi`
7. Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder.
8. Click through the installation wizard. The TWSAPI must be installed to the C: drive for C# or Excel users.
