Canada\u2019s Consumer Price Index (CPI) is anticipated to be unchanged on an annualized basis, as a repeat of July\u2019s 3% is likely, according to the Interactive Brokers Prediction Markets. The \u201cYes\u201d predictive contract at 3% <\/a>heading into Monday\u2019s report is going for $0.49, essentially a 50-50 probability of achieving an upside beat ahead of that number. Now, if you believe that rising energy costs last month will result in an acceleration, taking the over may be a wise choice, as the figure could rise to 3.1% or 3.2%. However, if you think cooler inflationary impulses in the other categories impeded an increase, just like this morning\u2019s US August CPI matched July\u2019s 3.4%, then the \u201cNo\u201d for $0.51 could offer an opportunity for certain investors. It\u2019s really a coin-flip here, and the majority of economists are stuck between a range of 2.9% and 3.1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
