The war in Iran and the associated energy supply disruptions have forecasters expecting that pain at the pump will exceed $3.40 in the middle of the month. Indeed, there\u2019s a 58%<\/a> chance of exceeding that threshold by the time the March 24 report is published. Unfortunately for consumers, costs have risen consistently since the year-to-date low of $2.78 occurring during the week culminating on Monday, Jan. 12, reaching $3.01 in last Tuesday\u2019s print on March 2. So far, it marked the seventh consecutive week of increases<\/a> and investors are anticipating more on the way since West Texas Intermediate crude is north of $90 per barrel at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
