April gold&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/finimize.com\/glossary\/futures\">futures<\/a>&nbsp;recently traded around $5,191\/oz, still not far from the $5,200 level the market\u2019s been trying to defend and below the $5,354.80\/oz peak. What\u2019s notable is what didn\u2019t move: the dollar index has been roughly flat near 97.7, and Treasury yields have been steady (about 3.48% on the 2-year and 4.05% on the 10-year). SEB Research called this a \u201cnecessary reset,\u201d arguing that underlying demand is being supported by ongoing buying from non-OECD central banks, big fiscal deficits in the US, Europe, and China, and easier access to gold through modern financial products.
