Tomorrow\u2019s first read of the year projects an unchanged reading from December\u2019s 6.8%, although some forecasters are expecting a surprise. Indeed, of the 16 economists surveyed in the monthly Reuters poll, the minimum and maximum values penciled in stand at 6.6% and <a href=\"https:\/\/forecasttrader.interactivebrokers.com\/eventtrader\/#\/market-details?id=773080482%7C20260206%7C6.9%7CJanuary%202026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">6.9%<\/a>. The IBKR ForecastTrader marketplace, meanwhile, prices 63%, 35% and 3% probabilities of results north of 6.8%, 6.9% and 7%. Conversely, the likelihoods of a print failing to exceed 6.8%, 6.9% and 7% are at 35%, 63% and 95%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1100\"
