They are particularly known for their work in cystic fibrosis treatments. Vertex also has ongoing research programs in other areas such as pain management, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, and APOL1-mediated kidney diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, Vertex Pharmaceuticals also reported its Q2 2024 financial results.
