Tesla forecaster&nbsp;<strong>Troy Teslike<\/strong>&nbsp;issued a final delivery and production forecast of 423,000 and 416,823 units, respectively. Wedbush analyst&nbsp;<strong>Daniel Ives<\/strong>&nbsp;predicted a likely in-line number, pinning his hopes on a mini end-of-the-quarter rebound in China, one of Tesla\u2019s key markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China Passenger Car Association data released Tuesday showed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/markets\/equities\/24\/07\/39590786\/tesla-stock-slips-in-premarket-ahead-of-q2-sales-report-whats-going-on\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tesla\u2019s June made-in-China sales coming in at 71,007 units,&nbsp;<\/a>taking the total for the quarter to 205,747 units. Excluding exports, domestic sales for the first two months of the second quarter totaled 86,636 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-vehicle-category-wise-breakdown-of-deliveries-is-as-follows\"><strong>The vehicle category-wise breakdown of deliveries is as follows:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><\/td><td><strong>Q1\u201924<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Y-o-Y Change<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Q-o-Q Change<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Model 3\/Y<\/strong><\/td><td>422,405<\/td><td>-5.48%<\/td><td>+14.23%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Other Models*<\/strong><\/td><td>21,551<\/td><td>+12.09%<\/td><td>+26.57%<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>*<em>includes Model S\/X\/Tesla Semi\/Cybertrucks<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tesla hasn\u2019t reported standalone numbers for Cybertrucks ever since its rollout in late 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-energy-storage\"><strong>Energy Storage:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As Tesla\u2019s core EV business stutters, analysts have begun focusing on the potential of the Elon Musk-led company\u2019s ancillary businesses and chief among them is its energy storage unit. Tesla said on Tuesday it deployed 9.4 Gigawatt-hours of energy storage products in the first quarter compared to 4,053-MWh at the end of the first quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RBC Capital markets analyst&nbsp;<strong>Tom Narayan<\/strong>&nbsp;said in a note in March that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/analyst-ratings\/analyst-color\/24\/03\/37413580\/tesla-analyst-believes-megapack-is-a-120b-sleeping-giant-that-could-surpass-ev-busi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tesla\u2019s Megapack utility-grade battery storage business is worth $120 billion<\/a>, potentially surpassing the contribution from the core vehicle-manufacturing business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-looking-ahead\"><strong>Looking Ahead:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tesla\u2019s next big catalyst is the second-quarter earnings release, which has been scheduled for<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>July 23, 2024. Analysts, on average, expect the company to report earnings of 59 cents per share on revenue of $24.03 billion. This compares to the year-ago earnings of 91 cents per share and revenue of $24.93 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forecasted earnings drop reflects demand that continues to slow and the margin impact of the price cuts and other promotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tesla is scheduled to host its&nbsp;<strong>Robotaxi Day<\/strong>&nbsp;on Aug. 8, which could be another market-moving event that could shed more light on the status of the full self-driving technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In premarket trading on Tuesday, Tesla climbed 4.49% to $219.28, according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pro.benzinga.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Benzinga Pro&nbsp;<\/a>data.
