That\u2019s a tidy idea when money\u2019s good and those designer shoes aren\u2019t&nbsp;<em>technically<\/em>&nbsp;in the budget. A potentially risky one, though, when the cost of living has emptied folks\u2019 wallets and rate hikes have made interest-free debt a much bigger ask. But so far, even more shoppers are using Klarna to make nice-to-haves more manageable, and what\u2019s more, inflation hasn\u2019t stopped them from keeping up with their debts. Klarna\u2019s real success, though, came from its shrewd cost-cutting and leaning into AI tools like ChatGPT to improve efficiency. That slimmed losses by two-thirds in the first half of this year versus the same time last year, and Klarna even wrangled a month of profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-should-i-care\">Why should I care?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>For markets:&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em>Go<\/em>&nbsp;<em>U-S-A!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Klarna\u2019s business was particularly blooming Stateside, now boasting around 30 million users and three straight quarters of gross profit. That\u2019s just the ticket: Klarna has always said it wants an established US presence before it lists on the stock market. And while markets aren\u2019t exactly shining right now, that means Klarna \u2013&nbsp;once Europe\u2019s most valuable startup \u2013&nbsp;could hit the public stage in a few years.<br><br><strong><em>Zooming out:&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em>You\u2019re techy and you know it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ChatGPT\u2019s impact on Klarna shows just an iota of its potential in the business world. And OpenAI \u2013 the tech\u2019s creator \u2013 knows it,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnnbloomberg.ca\/openai-unveils-chatgpt-for-businesses-stepping-up-revenue-push-1.1964318\">launching<\/a>&nbsp;a corporate version of the chatbot with new features and privacy settings designed to lure businesses in. That should hoist ChatGPT\u2019s revenue even higher, adding to the already $1 billion annual sales it\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnnbloomberg.ca\/openai-nears-1-billion-of-annual-sales-as-chatgpt-takes-off-1.1964940\">headed<\/a>&nbsp;toward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
