1\/ MSFT Hits New All-Time Highs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second largest company in the world by market capitalization<\/a> is hitting new all-time highs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft (MSFT<\/a>) must have heard that Apple (AAPL<\/a>) was a $3 trillion company and couldn\u2019t stand it. Or stocks could simply be in a bull market<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the looks of the big base breakout in MSFT, we\u2019ll lean toward the latter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We could see other areas of the market\u2014especially the cap-weighted indexes<\/a>\u2014continue to catch higher if these fresh highs in MSFT hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s an extremely bullish data point, especially as evidence suggests broadening participation and potential small-cap<\/a> leadership in the coming weeks and months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rising tide is lifting all boats\u2014big and small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2\/ Banks Break Out<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The big banks refuse to be left behind as upside participation expands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After tracing a textbook inverted head and shoulders pattern<\/a> for the past four months, the SPDR Bank ETF (KBE) is piercing through the upper bounds of the range, reaching its highest level since March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

These formations act as reversal patterns once the neckline<\/a> is breached, indicating that the path of least resistance now points higher for these stocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fact that even the worst-performing stocks are resolving higher from bullish reversal formations speaks to risk-seeking behavior and reinforces expanding breadth<\/a> at an industry group level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As long as KBE holds above $38.50, it signals a significant shift in the trend direction for financials while supporting the overall health of the bull market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3\/ Commodities Have Gas in the Tank<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Commodities<\/a> have been overshadowed by stocks this year as equities have kicked off a new bull market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the rallies in sugar, cocoa, and more recently wheat (up more than 50 cents during today\u2019s session) and other grains have captured traders\u2019 attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But procyclical<\/a> groups, especially energy, might be due for a rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This chart shows gasoline futures<\/a> carving out a potential multi-year base:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The path of least resistance points higher if demand absorbs supply at the shelf of former highs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If buyers drive a decisive breakout<\/a>, the energy complex and commodities in general could join cyclical stocks on a fresh bull run through the second half of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4\/ Bonds Just Got a Lot Cooler<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bonds are breaking out! Yes \u2026 Bonds!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, not U.S. Treasuries<\/a>. We\u2019re referring to corporate bonds<\/a>. Check out the Convertible Bond ETF (CWB<\/a>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

CWB is tracing a classic bullish reversal in price and <\/em>momentum<\/a>, confirming the upside resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the breakout in CWB represents a bullish data point for equities, not bonds.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only bonds breaking out are the ones that one day, with a little luck, could become a stock. If you have an itch to buy bonds, it could be worthwhile to skip the hassle and go straight to the stock market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft is printing new all-time highs, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA)<\/a> is posting fresh 52-week highs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This suggests that it could be a great environment for stock investors. And those are only two data points from myriad supporting bullish evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
