MobileTrader Release Notes

The enhancements and modifications below are in the latest release of MobileTrader. Unless noted otherwise, all of the enhancements below apply to both the current MobileTrader production release and the new MobileTrader Beta, which requires that your wireless device support Javascript.

The MobileTrader workflow has been reworked to parallel the workflow of the IB WebTrader, and to be more intuitive and easier to navigate. On login, MobileTrader opens in Market View, and displays a dropdown selection list to access the following screens:

• Market View - A market data page with functionality to add and delete contracts and data fields, manually refresh the market data, and place orders by click the Bid or Ask from a data line. (MobileTrader Beta only)
  
• Orders - Use the Order Management page to create, modify and cancel orders. See a market data line for the underlying at the top of the page, and connect to the Trades window using the button on the bottom of the page.
  
• Open Orders - View the status of all open orders, and elect to modify, cancel or create a new order from an order line. (MobileTrader Beta only)
  
• Trades - Lists all trades. Click a line to expand the Trades Report for a single trade. Use the New button to create a new order from the displayed contract. (MobileTrader Beta only)
  
• Account - Display current account information.
  
• Portfolio - Shows your current portfolio and provides the ability to create new orders from existing positions.
  
• Bulletins - Displays any active system messages.
  
• Preferences - Holds configuration settings for MobileTrader features including default order parameters, refresh rate, and Market View fields.(MobileTrader Beta only)
  
• Logout - logs you out of this MobileTrader session.

The IB MobileTrader now supports limited multi-account functionality for advisors and brokers. A new Account dropdown list displays at the top of each page. Select an account or sub-account from the list, and all information and actions will be specific to the selected account/sub account. Note that you can only allocate orders to the selected account or sub account; currently we do not support allocating an order amongst multiple accounts.

A new checkbox to save your Mobiletrader settings to a remote server has been added to the Login page. If you check Store settings on server when you log in, any changes you make to your Preferences, Market View etc. will be saved to a remote server and will be applied the next time you log into MobileTrader regardless of the device from where you initiate the session. This feature applies to the new MobileTrader Beta only.
