Viewing Position Transfers Out

To view the history of outgoing position transfers

  1. Click Funds Management in the left pane, then click View Transaction History.
  2. If the Secure Login System page opens, this means that your account is enrolled in the Secure Login System and you must use your security device or temporary password to log into the Funds Status page.
  3. If you have a master account, in the Client/Sub Account Selection area, use the radio buttons to search for client or sub accounts by Account ID, Account Title or Account Alias, then click the client or sub account whose transaction history you want to view
  4. Click the Position Transfers Out tab.

The Position Transfers Out tab displays the following information for each outbound position transfer made within the past 90 days:

Column Description
Type

One of the following types of inbound position transfers:

  • ACATS – US Securities
  • Free of Payment (FOP) – US Stocks
  • Direct Registration System (DRS) – US Stocks
  • US Futures
  • ATON – Canadian Securities
  • To Another IB Account
  • To an IB Advisor-Managed Account
ID A unique identifier assigned to the transaction by IB.
Cash/Positions Full Transfer or Partial Transfer
Receiving Institution The bank or institution receiving the transferred positions and/or funds.
Transfer Notification The date on which you notified IB of the transfer.
Sent

The date on which the positions and/or funds were transferred from your account.

This column appears blank for any transaction that has not been sent, has expired, has been cancelled by you or has been rejected by IB.

Current Status

The current status of the transaction. Can be one of the following:

  • Available - The transferred positions and/or funds have been credited to your account and are now available.
  • Cancelled - The transfer was cancelled.
  • Rejected - The transfer was rejected by IB.
  • Expired - The transfer expired before it was sent. All transactions that have not been confirmed expire after ten business days.
  • Acknowledged - The contra broker has confirmed receipt of the ACATS or ATON transfer instructions.
  • Resubmitted - The contra broker was unable to confirm the initial instructions for the ACATS or ATON transfer.
  • Pending Receipt - The transfer has not yet arrived, and has not expired, been cancelled or rejected.
Cancel Transaction You can cancel transactions that have a Current Status of Pending Receipt by clicking the X button in this column.
